The Minister of Local Development, Dr. Hisham El-Sherif, called for a new organization under the direction of the state towards decentralization
It is trying through joint discussions with all the organs of the state to reach a new administrative structure at the highest level.
The Minister stressed the importance of the organizational structure of the Egyptian governorates and its role in supporting development, especially with the expansion of decentralization in the governorates. This came during the speech of the minister at the conference "Egyptian governorates, organization and management .. The typical organizational structure of the Egyptian governorates", which was held by the ministry of local development in cooperation with the central organization for management and administration From the specialists in the field of administration and the leadership of the Ministry of Local Development, including Dr. Hisham Helbawi Assistant Minister for the development of the local administration and Major General Hamdi al-Jazzar, the Minister's adviser for follow-up and Acting General Secretary for Local Development and Major General Ali Abdulmall Minister for Legal Affairs Advisor Dr. Khaled Qassem Assistant Minister for Education, Science and Leadership Of the Organization and Administration and the Governors of Cairo, Giza, Qaliubiya, Sharqia, Gharbia, Dakahlia, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, Qena, Sohag, Matrouh, Beni Suef, Fayoum, Kafr El Sheikh, Damietta and Minya.
He added that he is proud of what is happening in the governorates of Egypt, pointing out that each governor leads the excellence of the transfer of the provinces to the best, and stressed that the minister is trying to reach through the work to find the formulation of the new model of the transformation of the provinces to decentralization.
He pointed out that the ministry seeks to improve the level of all services provided to citizens in all governorates.
The minister called for an inventory in the provinces that want to open post offices in the coming period to facilitate the citizens.
The minister announced the establishment of a higher council of leaders in the Ministry of Local Development, which includes Advisor Amr Marwan, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Follow-up, and a number of former local development ministers.
Dr. Mohamed Jamil, head of the Central Organization for Organization and Management, delivered a speech during the conference, stressing that the current organizational structure of the governorates is completely different from decentralization, stressing the importance of modifying the structure to be more effective.
For his part, Major General Hamdi Al-Jazzar, Advisor to the Minister of Development for Follow-up and Acting Minister of Local Development, said that there are 1431 advanced on the Ministry's website in the selection of leadership positions in the local administration in the governorates.
The minister's adviser said that 124 candidates were excluded because of the lack of conditions and the civil service law. The best elements and competencies will be chosen for the nomination.
Al-Jazzar said that the number of applicants for the Premier League is about 223 and the top 405 and the General Manager 679.
He added that there is a higher council of leaders, a leadership committee, a written and oral exam, training on local administration for 3 months and a one-month development project.
