Minister of Local Development Dr. Hisham El-Sherif said that solving the problems of illiteracy, unemployment and poverty is the top priority of the government. He stressed the need for a strong information infrastructure in all Egyptian governorates and ministries concerned to help in finding the right solutions to solve these problems.

He added that the government has a national program to eradicate illiteracy, pointing out that the issue of the population is the issue of issues, and we seek to be all the provinces of Egypt without illiteracy during the next three years.

This came during a joint meeting held by the Ministries of Local Development and Health Tuesday at the National Training Center of the Ministry of Health in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Emad Radi, Minister of Health, to discuss the national population strategy, family planning services plan, media campaigns and field follow-ups.

The meeting was attended by a number of leaders of the ministries and governors of Cairo, Giza, Qaliubiya, Sharqiya, Gharbia, Dakahlia, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, Qena, Sohag, Matrouh, Beni Suef, Fayoum, Kafr El-Sheikh, Damietta and Minya.

Al-Sharif said there must be an executive plan for each governorate to reduce population and eradicate illiteracy, reduce the poverty rate to 50%, and employ one million people in Egyptian villages. The resources are available to run the Egyptians and eradicate illiteracy.

He stressed that every year Egypt exceeds 2 million and 40 thousand people, we must provide them with food and within 3 years this number needs to be 20 thousand nursery, and in six years this number needs 100 thousand schools, and after 20 years they need half a million homes, and in 25 years They need 2 million jobs, and we aim to reduce the increase rate to 25% ؜ to reduce previous ratios.

"The existing team of governors and ministries of health and local development enter the World Cup in its efficiency, such as Barcelona, ​​and our goal is to reach the unity of thought and collect practical observations about the province, so that the targeting is accurate and clear."

El-Sharif announced the start of the implementation of the disciplined strategic plan for the population at the governorate level, entitled "Development of Egypt is just two children." He pointed out the need to develop an implementation plan at the level of each governorate regarding the problem of over population and illiteracy.
